The Social Media

As young Americans we see more and more how the use of social networks has dictated what we do in our everyday life. Just a few years ago no one knew what these "Social Networks" were or how they worked. Today, everything passes through that little blue bird icon on your phone. It has changed  our views on celebrities, politicians, even the Pope. But how has contributed to education? Well I'm going to give you an example. A few friends of have this teacher who actually has them follow them on Twitter for assignments and what not. This is a true story, swear to God. How else might it contribute to education? Well social networks are big blogs of information, information most people couldn't care about, but it could become useful. Let's say your making a biography on Charlie Sheen. You follow him on twitter then you find countless Tweets about things he does. Next thing you know you got an entire report on his new catchphrase "Winning!" Well I personally don't like it, not after 2010. But it's still a damn good source of information.
